3) Phone them up a few days after it has been returned asking for an update, they will escalate the request and refund you.

I'd love to think this would work but I recently had to contact them over a legit Silicone case that had started peeling away after 8 months.

They required photos of all corners of the case to compare to their own images of what a case would look like if it was defective and then said based on their assessment it's damaged and not defective.

So even a multi billion dollar copmany would even replace a phone case and the guy on the phone actually said to me, "it's not the money or cost of the case to Apple, it's the principle"
