Hey, I have a iPhone 15 Pro Max with fresh icloud, fully reset and ready to go. However the Phone is eSim and it's saying Sim Locked In general. I called the provider which its locked with (ATT) and they said it can't be unlocked because a third party company reported it as lost and stolen. So the iPhone has a stolen/lost lock on it. I dont know much about this type of stuff so I'm wondering how to remove the lock or at least get a new imei. Just let me know, Is it possible or is it not.

hello,
the phones imei is blacklisted most likely.
your solutions are : - Contact the Previous Owner: If you purchased the phone from someone, you might want to reach out to them and ask if they can remove the lost/stolen report or help you get in touch with the carrier.
- Legal Resolution: In some cases, if you have a proof of purchase from a legitimate source, you might be able to contact the carrier or Apple support for assistance. However, they are unlikely to help with removing the blacklist unless the phone was reported incorrectly.
- IMEI Change: Changing the IMEI number is illegal in many countries and should not be attempted. It’s against the law to modify the IMEI of any phone, and doing so could lead to legal consequences.
- Carrier Lock: The phone is locked to the carrier (AT&T in your case) and will not work with other carriers unless it is officially unlocked by AT&T. However, since it is reported as stolen or lost, the carrier cannot unlock it.
