Experiment, test things out, read some code so you can know what is possible, and what isn't, use coding forums like stackoverflow to see possible solutions to your problems.

My advice regarding C syntax is to go in mild and starting out with perhabs C# or .NET since ++ is a powerful language with a very wide range of paradigms which go hand in hand with the different programming concepts you pick up from learning from the start.

Hope this made any sense to you lol.

Starts with basic C and try to understand everything by manipulating code, compiling and running again and again
