How do I get a signature image

I might sound like the retard I am posting this but whatever
How tf can I add an image to my signature ?
I've tried to upload it on various img uploader then put the link in the correct format but doesnt work, get an error message "max amount of image in signature is 0"
Do you really need to be premium for this ?
