[HOW TO] Download Youtube Videos Directly (Highest Quality, No Limits)

Before, for me to download youtube videos and music, I have to use third-party services/websites
that have a lot of ads on it or just pure garbage website. There are also some limitations on the downloads in terms of quality and length.
I got tired of using those sites and wished to download it directly from youtube. And now, I'm going to share to you how to do it.


You need to have a user script manager. I use Tampermonkey but you can also use Violentmonkey (it will only work on these two).


Go to this site and click "Install this script".



Go to the Youtube video you want to download. Click "Show/Hide Links".




After clicking, you will see different video/audio formats. Choose what resolution you want to download. You also have to download the audio file.
You can also click "Download highest resolution mp4 in one click".





If you clicked on the "adaptive" side, you will only be able to download video-only and audio-only. You will need to merge/mix the video and audio files.
To merge, you can use video editing software or by clicking "In browser adaptive video & audio merger (FFmpeg)".

However, if you clicked "Download highest resolution mp4 in one click",
it will automatically merge audio and video so you will be able to download both the video and the audio in one file.

I guess, there are so many sources you can use to install a video from youtube with just a link from this video. I personally use y2 mate. It gives me the possibility to download my favorite TV shows and TV series just by providing a link on youtube for them. The easiest way to download a video from youtube, I'd say. Moreover, the quality of downloaded videos remains practically the same.
I have this weird habit of collecting all the videos and shows I watch to review them later, especially during my long trips. Sometimes, I get too bored and I just have a nostalgic mood to watch some really old classic movies I managed to download from youtube:)
