Games like Deus Ex and the Thief games have always captivated me because of the feeling of isolation, of being one person against the world. I'm always a sucker for ducking through frigid New York apartments and dancing across city rooftops in a hostile, unforgiving environment.

Other games that give me this feeling are games like GTAIII and GTAIV, Gloomwood, the Dishonored games, BioShock, VTMB, etc.

The Forest. 

Top notch game. Has MP but totally able to finish it alone. It's you against nature and increasingly horrifying mutants.
