Telegram sucks, I hear people recommend signal now, but I feel like its the same shit. Using phone numbers and such, no trust in those

Many people are worried since Telegram is leaving us to the feds [Image: mad.png] and we do enjoy our privacy, so. The current app I suggest is Signal, I've been using Signal even when Telegram was not watched, and I do recommend it, simple UI, you can hide your phone number and all that, also has great privacy features:
 1. End-to-End Encryption:
  • All messages sent through Signal are protected by end-to-end encryption, meaning only the sender and the receiver can read the messages. Even Signal itself cannot access the content of the messages.
2. No Data Collection:
  • Signal collects minimal user data. It only stores your phone number and the date when your account was created. Unlike other apps, it doesn’t track user activity or share data with third parties.
3. Disappearing Messages:
  • Users can set messages to self-destruct after a specified amount of time. This ensures that sensitive information doesn’t remain accessible indefinitely.
4. Screen Security:
  • Signal offers a Screen Security option that prevents others from taking screenshots of chats within the app.
5. No Ads or Trackers:
  • Signal doesn’t run ads, and it doesn’t use trackers to follow your behavior or sell your data. It's funded by donations and not by advertising revenue.
6. Secure Backup (Optional):
  • Messages aren’t stored in the cloud unless you enable encrypted local backups. Even these backups are stored in a secure format and cannot be accessed without your password.
7. Registration Lock:
  • Signal provides a Registration Lock PIN, which adds another layer of security to prevent unauthorized access to your account if your phone number is compromised.
8. Sealed Sender:
  • With Sealed Sender, Signal hides the sender’s identity from the server when sending messages, adding an extra layer of anonymity.
These features make Signal a go-to app for people who prioritize privacy in their communications. Those features were generated by GPT, but you can search it on your own. It's what I would recommend in difficult times like these [Image: pepeglad.png]

I disagree, Signal is from USA, just an extra honeypot...
To talk very anonymously and temp on ONION i would use OnionShare
For daily uses it would be Sessions which is without account and working like a crypto wallet (12 words) and IPs are full anon using an onion network
Or i would use QTOX/XMPP

compared to messenger discord instagram snapchat, telegram is still the best privacy app, if you already plan on doing criminal activity you shouldnt use telegram in the first

tox and sessions is what they mainly use

signal is nice, and since they added username option its better.
