For $500+ items, do 2-3 small orders from the account first.
Make sure your accounts are not connected (we have an Amazon Account Guide if you need more information)
After it's arrived, open chat and claim the item doesn't work (if it's something that can be faulty) or the package is damaged and you ordered it as a gift, you need to return it.
Claiming faulty item without visible damage is better. If you claim damage some agent will request a photo to refund.
If it's an electronic item, they can connect you to a technician and they will ask you to perform some simple tasks, just follow and say it's still faulty, you need to return it. They will issue a refund.
You don't need to ask for instant refund, their system doesn't allow to create RMAs for these products, so they will issue return-less refund.
