I think they do actually. Even if some of them don't doesn't that mean I can use CPU?

I did this actually! Back in 2016 so things were a little different but I made a few grand doing so (if only i didn't spend it on pizza...)
I went to a technical school and was in the IT program, so I had elevated access so it was very easy for me to access the servers that handled the schools NAS and run miners on the extremely powerful systems. That's where most the money came from at least. I also set up an auto executing usb that installed a portable version of nice hash that was set to execute after hours (I achieved this with a BATCH script). I stuck my drive in all the computer lab computers I could.
I was caught, luckily by the IT teacher who only wanted a cut of the money but there could be legal implications for you so keep that in mind.
