since i saw that people only recommended mainstream anime, which everyone probably have seen already here are some not so famous ones:
Inuyashiki
Classroom of the elite
Kenja no Mago
Parasyte (you will love it)
Shinchou Yuusha

and for the cultured...
Elfen Lied
Bunny Girl Senpai
OPM
Domestic na Kanojo
Konosuba

Some of my personal favorites:

Kimetsu no Yaiba
Watashi ni Tenshi ga Maiorita!
Grand Blue
Kuroko no Basket
Papa no Iukoto wo Kikinasai!
Sakura-sou no Pet na Kanojo
ReLIFE
Baccano!

Some of these you may or may not heard of since it depends on the genre you like. Definitely take a look at Grand Blue if you want some comedy, I find it freaking hilarious.
