i had the best results (weights lifted + muscles) when doing a daily training with mixed reps (between 5x5 heavier weights and 8x8 lower weights).

alternating deadlifts and squats,
rowing (barbell or seated) and pull ups,
dips/bench press and shoulder press

enjoy the growth.
