I would recommend vitamin d, magnesium, and zinc (zinc not daily). My biggest tip with anxiety is to not band-aid it, you have to figure out why you have it sometimes it's deep-rooted, or sometimes it's just an imbalance. Don't do drugs (besides MAYBE psychedelics responsibly and only as a last resort). Get outside as often as you can but try to be around people not just alone, this helped me feel more comfortable in social settings. Meditation as corny as it sounds helps a lot and it's hard to understand until you try it. I'd also recommend getting blood work done to see if it's able to catch any issues with your hormone/vitamin levels (super easy just ask your doctor). I've been researching this kinda stuff for years, if you need more help just pm me I can help out
thanks man, I'm having blood tests done to check for imbalances in certain vitamins and other things in my body.
I really appreciate the help and I'll PM you if there are any further questions, thanks bro

Also, not all meds work the same for everyone and a lot of times they lose effectiveness over time. When you get put on a medication, just be open and honest with the psychiatrist if things are going good or bad with it...they can always try other meds or altering the dosage if things aren't improving.
I've had issues with depression and anxiety (panic attacks) for over 10 years and can tell you it's a lot easier to talk w/ a doctor every couple of months about your meds and adjust as necessary than trying to fight through things by yourself. That said, it's still good to remain active and be around friends and family as much as you feel comfortable with. Lifting weights and running have helped me with anxiety from stress, but that's entirely different than social anxiety and many other forms of anxiety. Talking to a shrink never helped me, and most general practitioners / family docs don't have the expertise you need when it comes to psychological problems.
No matter the course of action you take, I hope things improve for you man. Good luck with everything.
Unfortunately, my GP says that I'm not allowed to take any meds or antidepressants until im 18... which is sad. I've been trying to go to the gym lately to get into a social space which doesn't require much interaction, but i still get sick before I go, i think somethings wrong with me. I really appreciate your advice, and I hope you can also beat your depression. I kinda just wish I was normal.
Good Luck with everything,
ed
