One thing to add; discord has unique ID that people can use to verify. Take all precautions. Better to be safe than sorry. If a deal sounds too good then it's too good and you will end up scammed.

Using a middleman will get rid of nearly all generic scammers. If you even mention it, they'll try either 1) try to push you away from using one 2) unfriend you and move on.

I use common sense.. 
Its been usefull so far ;)

I see people fall for scams so often... its pathetic.
