Additional Information:So this guy first sold me a dead UK PayPal account. When I logged in, I found that the account was already limited. I sent him a screenshot, and he refused to refund me, claiming that he delivered a “working” account. A few hours later, he sent me a replacement — a UK account created using a Bangladeshi IP.
Before the deal, I clearly told him that phone access for EU countries is a must, and he told me: “I guarantee it will not be a problem.”
When he sent the replacement, I wasn’t available to check it, so I just asked him a few questions about the best browser and proxy to use, so that when I got home I could access it the way he recommended.
When I got home, I tried to log in. I managed to log in successfully, but as soon as I tried to make a purchase, change the linked mobile number (the one he linked), or even change the email, PayPal asked for an SMS code sent to his number.
I sent him a screenshot showing the issue, and he claimed that he never added any phone number and that I was the one who linked it.
Imagine that — he claims he created a PayPal account without linking a phone number at all, which makes absolutely no sense.
So the point is: I received a completely useless account that’s tied to a phone number I don’t have access to, and I can’t change it. And he’s trying to blame me for something that clearly isn’t possible
