You can just scan the barcode for the giftcard, I've done it 100+ times. Just go into the store, pickup works too but then you might have issues.
You can reload the card with the payment method and purchase giftcards, but they may get cancelled. Just reload and then buy mugs etc to resell. 
On LTE you can use the payment method to email yourself giftcards. This list is worth well over $1,000.

I keep the big ones, this is just a gift. Enjoy the coffee. They will call the name on the account when coffee ready so be aware of name.

Starbucks login flags as invalid sometimes based on IP, so change VPN before trying to login if it says its invalid. I literally just checked them.
