A Human experience

I generally wouldn't share such a thing on this site but I've spent so much time on the site the last couple of months that I now feel like I need to let you guys know. My father went through a critical surgery that the doctors informed me and my mom was very high risk. They specifically warned us multiple times that he could die! It was all just so sudden, dad went from being perfectly healthy and the usual to being in extreme pain and the next thing you know is that the doctors wanted to surgically remove an organ from dad because it was infected. I've never felt so helpless and vulnerable I guess. I was just afraid and their was nothing I could do about it. His surgery was successful but he still hasn't recovered fully, the whole sudden nature of it has suddenly put me on guard. I feel like I can't take any moment for granted because anything can happen at any time. I ain't ready to lose my parents but life doesn't wait for anyone and all I can hope is that I'm amongst the fortunate for whom life ain't too quick.
