long story short saw an nft i wanted to mint and I knew I had 0.2 eth laying around in my metamask wallet
guess what?
after logging in on metamask thr eth was gone.
there was a transaction on 29 january made from my wallet to another wallet :/

not even mad about it but i am really curious to find out how it was possible since i am very careful with anything that is being safe related

i did connected my wallet to fake (scam) minting websites but this shouldn't give your private key away

any ideas on how it was possible?

https://www.reclaimcrypto.com/#reclaim-your-crypto - they will list the hacker’s wallet in the database which may make it harder for the hacker to use your money

another idea of what happened could be any of these listed:
your computer has been compromised with (malware/spyware) and you stored your private information on your computer.
you have visited a malicious phishing website that stole your information.
you gave your private key or seed phrase to someone or a site.
you gave a web3 site / smart contract unlimited access to your funds (check who you gave access to and revoke here: https://tac.dappstar.io/#/)
you installed a fake MetaMask extension that stole your funds.

Generally, nowadays there are a lot of rug pulls, a rug pull is a fraud scheme that tricks people into investing money in a fraudulent product. In this case, with an offer for an incredible deal, an investor is enticed to invest their hard-earned money (or, in some cases, Bitcoin and other cryptos) into a token.

already submitted my mail for a quote on that site
the chances of me having malwares in my pc are 0.01%, always using netlimiter, not running any sussy exe's
also not storing my seed phrase on my pc/laptop
im not dumb to fall into psihing pages
the web3 part, i remember signing a message for a site but from my research still they shouldnt be able to send funds
also i am using the right metamask extension dw XD
