me, personally, i think knowledge is more important

knowledge > marks but you need good marks to get degree

marks and degrees open some doors for companies or universities, where you in the end get good money but where you will die before 40 cause of bullshit and without having any purpose.
knowledge instead gives you power to achieve and create all things and where nobody will ask you afterwards if you got a good diploma (lol btw).
knowledge is for me the biggest motivation.
