I did my internship in a bank named HSBC, I worked with several groups including anti-fraud and development/automation; to answer your question it is not secure due everything, it checks every transaction, if they see that you have made 500 euros in 10 e billets  without any justification they will block you because you work in black  and probably warn the police.

Having fraudulent activities linked to anything in your actual name is never a good idea, giftcards are always the best way as 1. they can't be chargebacked and 2. they don't give away any of your personal information
