My brother passed away last summer. I have his cellphone but I could not figure out his password. Is there a way to unlock it ? We have family pictures I would like to save.

For apple gg.. phone reset ( restory ) but if was been icloud all photos will be in cloud.
Android not sure about it but i think need to be on USB mode from admin settings or have to be rooted.

It has a password, I tried so many times that it locks for an hour now.

I downloaded oxygen forensics, but I don't think it's the right Software.

Any and all help is appreciated.

Regarding the phone, being a Samsung, the easy option is to flash a new android on the phone without losing any data. You can flash an android without booting the system itself, therefore you won't be needing a password. Search more about this topic on the xda-developers.

It's no scam bro, if I had stolen the phone id just factory reset it with dr fone and id be good to go.

I really want the data on the phone. There are pictures he took on his last family outing that he never transferred out.

I am stuck now, I see that we can remove the lock with ADB but the phone needs to be USB debugg enabled. Is there a way to do this through a pc ?
