Im starting my own print on demand store but i have little to no experience in setting up a shop and after messing around for 3-4 days i think its still pretty bad and could use a lot of work

I recommend not going for trends, but rather for niches, if you really want to do trends there are some paid services that tell next big hits, you must be willing to change the items often though.

Also for shopify store get one of those premium cracked themes, to make it look appealing, this might require for shopify premium, but do your own research.

For pricing make it reasonable, as there will be many competitors, so research your competitor's prices.  
Use the $ #.99 because it works. ( For e.g. $ 5.99 )
