Last night, I had this revelation. Please know that this isn't well thought out.....

I'm a comp sci student, I write shitty code. I spend hours looking at problems in leetcode and end up looking at forums for answers. Now, I've spent a lot of time looking at different forums going through the source code section, and often checking out Github accounts of users if posted. I'm always in awe at the effort and quality of code some individuals produce, not saying I understand it all but I try to make sense as much as I can, and it's a lot of the time top notch beautiful code. Code that's so outlandishly creative that put's my senior's repo, with which they got a $$$ job at Bosch, at shame.

So,
Why (some) of ya'll write stuff like exploits when your skills could be of serious use elsewhere for pay? Is it a self satisfaction thing or free time thing and you actually have amazing jobs?

What can I do to be that good, to be inspired and write code that's just plain clever and beautiful?

Plz take this with a grain of salt

Maybe programming on leetcode without any motivational purposes is bad for you. I found out it is really learnful to put yourself into pressure, maybe work for someone or try to get some degree could get that thing that makes you a great programmer. Also, don't rush, it takes time to improve.
