Why cant I change my username ???

So, I made this account a year ago and I was doing it being not serious so I put this username... I want to upgrade my account and to post here, but I dont like my username and I dont want to make new account because this account is 1 year old, when I try to change my username I get this:

you need to upgrade,

You can change your name once you upgrade. I think changing name before upgrading is not possible.
