Tips on getting addictied to heroin?

So I’ve been shooting heroin for the last 8 years up to three times a day and I’m still not addicted, I don’t really know what I’m going wrong. I’ve tried everything from smoking to snorting it.

If I’m being honest with myself it’s just so much harder than they make it seem, I can genuinely stop whenever I like. Am I just immune to addiction?
