OP 23 December, 2024 - 10:31 AM
In October 2023, a man, presumably a 33-year-old Cuban citizen, went missing. His relative told police that he had received strange messages from the missing man's phone, claiming that he had met a woman, was about to leave Spain and intended to get rid of his phone. Such statements seemed suspicious to the relative.
In November 2023, police arrested two suspects: a woman believed to be the partner of the disappeared and a man called her ex-boyfriend. Already in December, dismembered remains were found in a nearby cemetery, presumably belonging to the missing man.
According to police, the picture, taken by Google Street View, was instrumental in solving a murder case in a small town in northern Spain. This image shows a man loading a large white plastic bag into the trunk of his car.

Google Street View is an application that allows users to view panoramic images of streets around the world captured with cars equipped with cameras. It is noteworthy that at the very moment when the alleged transportation of the body took place, a Google car filmed this area. In another fragment of the photo, you can distinguish the blurred silhouette of a man carrying a large white package in a car.
The police emphasize that these images themselves did not become "decisive evidence", but they helped to restore the chronology of events and clarify some important details.
Now the accused are in custody, and the investigation continues. According to authorities, this was the first time in 15 years that Google Street View had recorded this part of the town of Tajueco in the province of Soria, and these unique images were useful to law enforcement during the investigation.
