Part 3 – The Morning LightDawn came quietly.
The first hint of sunlight crept through the curtains, painting the room in soft gold. The city was waking, but inside, time moved slower — calm, almost sacred.
@Alex stirred beside me, her hair tangled, her breath steady. For a moment, I just watched her — the way the light traced her cheek, the small smile that appeared as she opened her eyes.
Quote:“You didn’t sleep,” she said, voice still soft from dreams.
I smiled. “Didn’t want to miss this.”
She laughed — quiet, genuine — and reached for my hand. Her fingers were warm, her touch light but certain. No words needed to fill the silence; the calm between us said everything.
Outside, the world began again — cars, voices, the hum of another day — but it all felt distant. What mattered was here: the comfort, the peace, the quiet promise lingering in the air.
As she leaned her head on my shoulder, she whispered,
Quote:“Whatever happens next... don’t let this fade.”
I nodded, knowing she wasn’t talking about the night — but the feeling that came after.
The kind that stays long after the fire, glowing softly in the heart.
