Wondering about threads / account checking etc

Today I found out that my i7-7700K at 750 threads runs and checks accounts faster than my i7-8750H laptop with equal amount of memory. Video cards obviously differ, 1070 ti vs 1060 6gb. Can anyone explain this to me?

Yes they do, also if you have TCM account checker, it seems to retry proxies more than actually using them to check for accounts. Is that user error?
