Hey, Im here to advise you about a new type of scam I just seen. It may already been discovered so lmk if it does.
Anyway here is the complete explanation of how this scam works :)
First, the scammer will contact you saying he wants to buy your product (for me it was an ebook, but it can be anything : program, config, etc).
Then scammer will ask you to put your file in virustotal and to send him the link so he can checks you're not trying to RAT him.
You will do so, then send him link, and he will stop answering, or just saying "Nvm Im not interested anymore".
But this is because he got what he wanted ! Because yes, its possible to download a file that has been uploaded on Virustotal (thanks to @KnightChampion for the researches he made)
So the scammer has just downloaded your product from Virustotal and ran out with it.
The best way to avoid this kind of scam is to send virustotal link with file, once the buyer paid you.
Thats all I can tell, it made me lost 400$ but I hope no one will fall again for this type of scam
