I've been meaning to post an example but I use node.js with modules request, async, cheerio. You'll probably get more mileage out of Python with security stuff, and it's good with multithreading, but at this point I'm hardwired to design for non-blocking code and that has the speed just built in.

C# is the last language I had to build something in for windows and it's a good option.
