it depends, if you want to use the rat just so you can control and manage the miner, then a simple rat with less functions (to have even less detections) will do the job.
If your main focus is not mining and want to do other stuff as well, then look for a rat with hvnc / hrdp.

Free : most people go for Async Rat or Quasar Rat.
You don't have many choices to pick between paid rats, bitrat is the only one available
