This is a very good tutorial, but it lacks only ONE thing, you have to know which template to use to avoid issues such as printing "bleed," when printing that image or text extends beyond the margins of printing.

Text or important elements should be kept within the "safe area" so they are not cut off when printing. The most common book size is 6.125 x 9.25 inches (You dont have to use this size lol). Use the following safe area margins depending on your page count:

24 to 150 pages: At least 0.375 inches (9.525 mm).
151 to 300 pages: At least 0.625 inches (15.875 mm).
301 to 500 pages: At least 0.75 inches (19.05 mm).

If you cannot get the distance exactly, its always better round up instead of down (It would be better to pick 0.386 inches instead of 0.373 inches, for example).

Is definitely the best tool for beginners if you want to create a book is Canva, it's not the best but even so, it has EVERY tool needed for high quality KDP books. (I recommend buying pro as it has a lot of useful features that will help you a lot)

To set your margins firstly, create a custom page size and remember to edit the measurement of size it's using. (Set to inches) after that,
enable the ruler tool by using Shift + R in Canva.
Drag the rulers to match the margins for your specific page count.

Overall really good guideline.
