I don't get it...

Do you mean alert/message counts as in number on page title?

Live updates only work on the index page where you get alerts and PMs without refreshing the page, so I think it's possible to have this there on that page.

in rest of pages Idk if its possible

Yep that's what I meant. Pings count as in number on page title. Benefit's are so you can know if you have been tagged or not. I can imagine if you need to go off-forum mid-conversation for example. This way you can know if you have been pinged or not without opening the tab
