Hello everyone,
I am posting this report because I have been scammed and want to prevent others from experiencing the same issue. Lyphen reached out to me first on the 12th of October, offering to create an advertising bot tailored to my services. He sold it to me for $150, which was a significant discount from the usual $500 price, and it seemed like a good deal at the time. To build trust, he also shared his vouches channel, which contained positive testimonials that made him appear legitimate. Because of this, I did not worry much about the early auto-deleted messages (I forgot to turn it off) and proceeded with the payment upfront—a mistake I will not repeat (escrow services are essential moving forward).
What followed was repeated delays, unconvincing excuses, and eventual silence. This follows a typical scam pattern: prolonging the process with fabricated stories, such as health problems and hospitalization, before disappearing. The interaction began promisingly—he responded affirmatively and indicated he was working on it—but quickly deteriorated. He avoided progress at every stage. Eventually, he claimed he couldn't host the Telegram bot, and he said that he'd send the source code for me to host it myself, which I was OK with—despite Lyphen being the developer—I provided all requested information: a new token, the bot handle, and my GitHub repository. I even agreed to receive a ZIP file when the repository invite failed. However, nothing was delivered. His last response was on November 25, stating he was hospitalized and would send the file soon, followed by complete unresponsiveness.
I requested refunds on multiple occasions—he claimed the money had been spent on the server and could not be refunded, but provided no evidence or delivery. The excuses progressed from technical difficulties to personal health issues and then hospitalization, without any verification.
