I've been doing a lot of searching and can't seem to crack it. It seems like the machine they use to swipe the cards is Intercard.
When I read the card Track 1 shows random numbers as the value, Track 2 shows the account number. My guess is that once the card is scanned, track 1 rewrites the value to now show the remaining balance of the card. Track 2 however stays the same.
I tried to insert a line on Track 1 as: %B1;UPDATE CARDS SET BALANCE=150 WHERE CARD_NUMBER=247565849;#^^?+
But when I swiped it, the value did not show 150 as the remaining balance. When I went home to read the card again it shows a read error. So I'm not sure if the machine reads the card then rewrites it after to show a remaining balance. Track 2 stayed the same so maybe the device is just connected to wifi. Asks the server the remaining balance of the card account number. Then deducts it and shows the value after each swipe.
