Hello fellow members,
I would like to ask you about this level of certification on external hardrives like diskashur dt2 by istorage, can such device be cracked or hacked offline knowing that beside the encryption there is a layer of epoxy on the hardware to protect it from physical tampering? Any contribution on this matter would be very helpful.
Also considering i want to protect a certain portion of my data i consider very sensitive, would such device be unbreakable to law enforcement agencies? The company itself doesn't leave any backdoor for retrieving the encryption keys, that's why the have multiple certification on that product, but still i am hesitant if law enforcement agencies may have more sophisticated ways to get around this. Any contribution on this matter will be very helpful.
