Can a site for a config “patch”? Meaning even if the config is outdated can I get a new one coded and the site still be crackable? Sorry if I sound retarded but I need an answer

Thanks for the answer bro! Just to elaborate, this site is allegedly “patched” but I theorise I can get another updated config done for it as it still looks fine. I’m just worried about the possibility of a site patching as It’s not something I’ve experienced first hand so I’m confused if it would be a simple config patch or site patch LOL
