Israeli man gets 8 years for role in 'Darknet' sales of millions of dollars

Tal Prihar and a co-defendant operated a website called DeepDotWeb from 2013 to 2019. The site provided links to users to make illegal transactions anonymously online on the dark web. Prihar was arrested in France and held there until he agreed to be extradited to the U.S. He has been in custody in the United States for 27 months. The judge reduced the sentence based on Prihar’s acceptance of responsibility and agreement to not fight extradition when he was first arrested.
