Is there a legit script or algorithm to break an instagram account password?

Recently a lot of celebrities on my country started to get hacked very easily by one hacker.He managed to hack 2 singers with 500k (verified) followers and 300k(verified) followers.
I think phishing, is not the way they managed to hack them ofc.
Brute forcing seems like a very hard way to get them passwords.
Why it was hard for phishing or brute forcing you might say?
Because they are celebrities,they have their own social media manager and he/she probably secures instagram acc with  a very strong password

--My questions ---
How hackers do it?
What programming language do they use?
Is there a specific algorithm to break into it?

yes there indeed is an algorithm
when u reset password in instagram , it directs you to a link to reset it
but that link is nothing other that algorithm of the system
hackers have cracked it and they can do shit with it now
