I'm wondering what the risk of take-downs, or bans are if I use GitHub.com for hosting source-codes of software like checkers is. If it is is a high risk what are the alternatives?
Is there a mainstream site like GitHub but specifically ran by the people here? Or would I be best to host my own Git server with all the necessary source.

Please let me know it will be much appreciated.
