The Importance of a Tor Mirror for User Safety and Privacy.

In today's digital landscape, privacy and security are more critical than ever especially for an online forum that has been seized. Since being seized, it now faces a significant threat of surveillance by the authorities. A Tor mirror ensures that even if the clearnet domain is taken down again, users can still access the forum via its .onion address, which is much harder to censor. Additionally, Tor adds an extra layer of defense against DDoS attacks, which the original Cracked.io was constantly under.

Given that the forum has already been seized once, users may be hesitant to return, fearing another takedown or increased surveillance. By offering a Tor mirror, the forum demonstrates a commitment to user safety and resistance to censorship. Of course, it will still take time for people to regain their trust.

Why Replacing JavaScript with CSS Makes the Forum More Secure.

Replacing JavaScript with CSS would represent a major advancement for the forum's privacy. JavaScript poses significant risks by potentially leaking sensitive user data, making it advisable to keep disabled whenever possible. This change would not only enhance security but also improve performance through faster load times and a reduced attack surface, though some dynamic website features might be affected as a result.

Additionally, transitioning to CSS would ensure full compatibility with Tor's strictest security level - the safest and most private way to use the Tor browser. This alignment with optimal privacy practices would provide forum users with significantly stronger protection against tracking and data leaks.

Moving to FOSS and privacy focused software

The official announcment chat group is in telegram wich is proven to be co-operating with the goverment and LE, and the majority of the forum provides their services in the same mentioned telegram, i haven't been on this forum in a while and i decided to comeback and i cant say, personally i was also using telegram as my primary messenger for my business but as you learn more you see that the centralized services promoting to be the safest and most trustworthy are the ones that are actually the least of those mentioned. Collective adoption of FOSS would benefit the entire forum.

Removing Email Registration as a Requirement

Eliminating mandatory email registration would significantly benefit user privacy. Email verification serves little practical purpose it doesn't effectively prevent multi-accounting, yet it violates privacy by collecting unnecessary personal data. This information is non-essential for the forum's operation but poses critical risks to users' anonymity. To prevent Spam/Bots, moderation tools and IP rate-limiting can manage multi-accounting without compromising privacy.

Indicating Anonymity and Privacy

The forum should place much stronger emphasis on teaching users about OpSec. At the very least, this would help the inexperienced newcomers learn something valuable as they delve deeper into the rabbit hole. Most will likely start with smaller activities here like account cracking but proper OpSec education could steer them toward better privacy practices from the beginning.

Summary

By adopting these key changes the forum will become far more secure, private, and resilient, attracting a broader audience while retaining its core user base.

Tor mirror = more chances of it being busted again, this has been rejected many times in past.
