Planning to take IELTS in December, I am generally good with English but when it comes speaking I am more or less a disaster, I mean whenever I watch an IELTS speaking exam in YT and I find myself I can't even answer the basic first questions without taking a long pauses and hesitations, and I need BADLY to get a band of 6.5, what exactly should I do ?? I am thinking of concentrating on the other sections and maximizing my scores and leaving the speaking test to god's plan. anyone here in the same boat ??

I am an English native speaker, so I never had to learn English as a secondary laguage. However, after getting biliteracy certifications (and triliteracy later), I can tell you with confidence that speaking will always be the most difficult part of learning a new language. Concentrate on the other parts until you no longer feal uneasy answering questions, and then focus on speaking until you can answer around 50% of what you're given. For an overall score of 6.5, you can score 7.0 on the other three parts, and a 4.5 on the speaking. However, depending on why you need the IELTS, you might need to meet a minimum specifically for the speaking category. If that's the case, everything else becomes unimportant until you can reach that speaking score. Good luck!
Goodbye :)

Thanks for your detailed answer, I just need an overall of 6.5 band score with no additional requirement, 7 in all of them seems to be a reachable goal, even a 5 or 5.5 in speaking section is workable, what do you suggest as a way to practice speaking (for IELTS sake) ? the other sections I have some materials and resources.

I can't say I have a direct source for learning, but I did have one activity to help practice. It seems the IELTS tests intermediate (elementary) knowledge, so it shouldn't be too difficult if you take your time and use short sentences. Imagine you're a tourist in an English country (England, USA, Australia and so on). Go through a daily routine as if you were a worker there, and then think of alternatives to your events. Make sure to include dialogues if you can. This might help you more after you've found an alternative source to practice. Luckily, a lot of difficulties with English writing won't matter in speaking, so you can focus more on the content of what you say. I'll go through a brief example below. Ideally, you'd go through a longer routine, add descriptors to your sentences, and be able to describe the environment you're in as well.

1. I woke up in the morning. The time was 7 o'clock. I put on some blue jeans and a white t-shirt, and went to the bus station. I asked the bus driver "How long will the drive be to Basic Street?" He responded "quarter of an hour." When I got off the bus, I took a left onto West Street. I saw the firestation up ahead. I work as a firefighter there.

2. I got out of bed at 8 AM today. After putting on my sneakers, I went out the door to my red car. My sister smiled as I walked by her, and said "Have a nice day!" I turned on the car's radio as I drove to work. It was playing rock music. I like rock music a lot. I wish I could go to a rock concert, but I do not have enough money for it right now. After half an hour, I got to my job. Being a police officer is difficult, but I think it's fun!
Goodbye :)
