i'm new in this forum and I've no idea if I can ask this question here or if it should be in another section plz tell me.

my question is that what is "deep web" ? i saw a thread where it was written that "use it at your own risk"
so i'm confused what does it mean? should I check that deep web links?
or can I be jailed by visiting that link? (thought in my mind)

Deep web are just websites that you can't usually visit with browsers like Chrome, Firefox etc. 
You need a special browser called TOR and you need to get your hand on onion links which are hard to find, especially if you're looking for something specific. 

I personally have just visited few marketplaces and that's it, but I probably don't wanna know what else is there at this moment.

You have different type of web so :
Clear Web (CW) = it's the part of url you can find with google etc
Deep Web (DW) = you can access to deep web with using tor browser, because links are in .onion, it's all link are indexed in CW, and in DW, you can find like torch which is a search engine for .onion links

Dark Web (DW) = it's the part which you can access only when someone drop the links in a chat, or send u a message, you can pay the links for cheap, but they are not all indexed on Deep Web.

Go in DW/DW still illegal because they sold all and nothing so be careful, there is many scammers too

Be careful with the deep web, I have tryed a little bit and is really complex and hard to navigate through it.
If you does not have skills to do it, it is better to avoid it, you can get into problems
