How do sticky threads bump and rank

Hi, I wanna purchase sticky, but I do not know how do these threads bump and rank, because I've seen people bumping it but it resulted in no effect.

Sticky Threads dont get bump i think.. why the need of bump ? Sticky means the thread will be sticked to top in that marketplace section..... so bump is not needed...

And if someone comment on thread it get auto bumped in every 24 hours...

I have no clear idea but this info i have so far...
