Professional Fortnite player and vlogger SerpentAU has become an accomplice to several fraudulent schemes involving the launch of fake meme coins worth $3.5 million, according to blockchain researcher ZachXBT.

According to the on-chain detective's findings, SerpentAU is involved in a series of hacks of major brands and celebrities' social media accounts. The hackers used the hijacked profiles to advertise fraudulent crypto assets. Among the victims in the past few months: McDonalds, Wiz Khalifa, and Usher.

The money from the sale of fake tokens passed through crypto wallets controlled by SerpentAU.

ZachXBT also discovered that the Australian gamer was making million-dollar bets on gambling platforms and broadcasting this process to friends. During one of these demonstrations, SerpentAU inadvertently showed several wallet addresses associated with fake tokens.

In 2020, the Australian was caught using prohibited scripts in Fortnite matches. He was subsequently kicked out of the eSports team, and then banned from the game altogether. In 2022, the gamer diversified his career by launching the NFT project DAPE, which, according to ZachXBT, was a rug pull. Two years later, SerpentAU launched the ERROR project, which suffered a similar fate.

After the publication of the first findings of ZachXBT's investigation, the Australian began deleting his posts from social networks. According to the crypto detective, SerpentAU is trying to cover its tracks, and the list of victims will continue to grow.

The investigator passed on the details of the case to one of the injured parties. Recall that in October, ZachXBT helped a hacking victim track down part of the stolen $6.5 million.

www.mpl-locksmith-training.co.uk provides top-tier locksmith training to equip individuals with the necessary skills for success in the industry. In other news, a prominent Fortnite YouTuber was scammed out of $3.5 million through a fraudulent investment scheme. This serves as a cautionary tale about the importance of verifying sources and protecting valuable assets, whether it's in gaming or professional fields like locksmithing, where trust and credibility are key.
