Feedback and Suggestions regarding Shoutbox

Hey there,

this month we want to start working on new features and improvements for the current shoutbox. As some of you remember we considered a switch to a whole new shoutbox core, based on websockets. Those plans have been ditched and we are going to stay with the current shoutbox core. Not really ressource friendly, but it is what it is. With recent modifications it should be fine the way it is.

• What ideas do you got for the shoutbox?
  
• Which (new) features should be added, what are you missing?
  
• Is there anything that bothers you on the current shoutbox?
  

Use this thread to post all the idea that you got in mind and I will try to get the best and most usefull ones implemented for the next update.

I would add 2 small icons right to our names :
- 1 small icon for @
- 1 small icon to whisper

I'm suggesting this because lot of people don't know they can right click in our names and do that. That would make things easier.

EDIT:

Also an option to ignore some messages or disable to get private messages.

Would it be possible to get a new role called Shoutbox Moderator that is kinda like section mod but they just look after the Shoutbox? :comfy:

A switch to turn on or off the new threads in SB.

Semi and limited SB perms for smod, only when no other staff member is online

mini beep option if someone tags the user in SB, should be able to turn off and on, depending on user preference.

Pfp show in mobile user - better design for mobile user, and ease of tagging for mobile users.

Add emote.

So if someone is acting retarded in chat like @MeSvAk, you can simply /ignore and his messages won’t display for you hehe
