Hi everyone. I'm studying computer engineering. I want to choose a field for my career. Do you think I should choose data science or cyber security? It can be a database, of course. I would appreciate it if you could explain why.

Between the two, cyber security.  No offense to any data science people in the room, but I've met several people with bachelors degrees in data science and they are all fucking idiots.  Don't understand basic IT shit, can't write a simple SQL query, but they can talk about how R is the wave of the future.  Most the network engineers I've worked with are cool and respectable guys.

Definitely cyber security. Many available jobs and the field will only continue to grow. Data science jobs are niche.

If you like data science you can apply it in a cyber security job, but you cannot apply cyber security in a strictly data science job.
