Custom computer build for cracking?

I know cracking can prettey much work on anything, but what are some important factors for a computer to have for cracking?

If you mean cracking as in brute-forcing passwords then a good GPU will do you good. GPUs are utilized since they contain hundreds of cores ideal for the parallel calculations to crack hashes. CPUs aren't as good as GPUs for the low number of cores they have comparison. If whatever reason your cracker needs connection to the internet to do lookups than your internet speed will also matter. And if whatever cracker conducts a lot of read/writes to files (which can be inspected with task manager) than a SSD will make things run snappy too.

Basically a good GPU, SSD, and internet speed will do you good for basically everything I think. Most people don't need dedicated stuff tho unless they are doing a large target, just my take as a newb.
