I think this shows the problem with monogamy when people believe there is only one person they can become extremely attached to them in a way that is detrimental for both people. Often people are most likely to experience abuse from their partners and it's due to the unnecessary attitudes of jealousy relations could create. 

If the man from this article had access to sex dolls for example and they were easily accessible, he likely wouldn't have been so frustrated. 13,000 USD could buy 5 or 6 good quality sex dolls, but due to nature of monogamy he believed he had to remained focused on someone that didn't even want to be with him anymore. I believe both men and women should forego relationships more especially ones with the expectation of two people being together only and not seeing others.
