Hey folks,

So I've been out of the loop for some time. Now I have this problem:

Few days ago, a company I did a successful refund on with a LIT service over 1 year ago, send me an email asking me to sign a declaration about sending back the Item.
If I don't sign it. They state that they might claim a reimbursement.

Now since I used a FTID service and its been so long i dont know where exactly the package has been dropped and also not the exact date…

What are your thoughts on that? Why do they need that so long after the refund? I would immagine for the incurance?

What would you advice me to do to be the safest?

Ignore it

How come?

They state that if I don't sign it they consider legal action for a reimbursement payment

An affidavit is a voluntary, sworn statement made under oath, used as verification for various purposes. It’s a written statement voluntarily made by an affiant or deponent under an oath or affirmation which is administered by a person who is authorized to do so by law.

The statement is witnessed and signed by a notary public or other law official authorized to do so. If it contains a lie, the person making it may be prosecuted

If you sign it, you are now legal bound to tell the truth, or else you are committing perjury. They can also summon you to court if you refuse to sign it and ignore it.

Personally I would take the reimbursement option, just pay them and be done with it.

What did you decide to do? Lmk if you want to talk more about this on telegram/discord.
