SInce you refer to psyschology:
I agree with you in principle, but if you get an award for every small step, then after say the first 10 awards you no longer feel any stimulus, you then need more so that the same amount of dopamine is produced in your brain. 
What motivated me to keep going and achieve godlike was that I didn't get an award for everything and when I got an award it made me happy, if I got an award for everything that wouldn't be the case...

I agree with a lot of what your are saying, but also disagree with some things...
 

Leechers leech not because they are too lazy to leave a like: THEY DO NOT KNOW IT IS A RULE TO LEAVE A LIKE.

It's not a rule to leave a like.  If someone posts stupid shit, something half assed, or something stolen from another forum - people shouldn't leave a like.
 

A lot of people (even though it sounds obvious)  have difficultys to find the forums functions like posting threads. 

Our site layout is similar to *a lot* of other forums.  If people are too stupid to figure out how to create a thread or post a reply, we don't need them on here.
 

5. Leecher-banning is overrated
You will never get people to like the thread if they do not understand the damn rules and i know i said this before but after 3 YEARS of using this forum I STILL SEE THE SAME MISTAKE DONE OVER AND OVER AGAIN.

Once again, it's not about people leaving likes. The problem with leechers is that they don't contribute anything to the community. They just reply to a threads with "thanks" or "okkkkk" to unlock hidden content.

Overall you have some good suggestions.  Just giving my feedback.  Take it for what you will.

totally agree, I started to hang out on forums like cracked.io 3 years ago, it's only after 4 months that I understood the leeching system, same for the complexity to make a thread, I understood 15 days later, and for the hidden content, after 2 days of hard fight I had understood, thanks for this thread , and I didn't quote everything .
